Microsoft after Yahoo – This time a genuine offer …
So it was rumoured a long time ago and now it has finally come to fruition Microsoft have tabled an offer for Yahoo. Google are fretting and so they should be, they have had a complete monoply on search engine advertising for so long this could be extremely damaging for them in the long run.
I won’t go into depth here as this news story has been done to death over the last few days. For the best coverage see here. Other than that we’ll sit back and watch Microsoft turn the screw on Yahoo and suck as much value out of the offer as possible.
Bands following suite with digital future.
The Telegraph have published an article stating that madness & oasis among others could soon follow the same direction as Radiohead and offer all of their music via digital download only.
Also recetntly Nine Inch Nails have announced that they are free from any label ties and could soon start releasing their music to loyal fans at a cut price or even free.
This is a great move for these more established bands that can afford to take their own loyal fan base with them and give them something much cheaper or of better value for money than the record labels are willing to. The bands that get in first will no doubt be the most successful.

Another acquisition by google. This time in the mobile related arena. Is this a signal of intent for their new G Phone ?
Jihad On You – Just don’t cover them
Why Jihad On You are getting any coverage is beyond me completely. Tech Crunch have just featured but why ?? . Surely if the site is in poor taste then why post it. Just for the design ? Well there are plenty of other nicely designed web sites that never get featured.
